Why do we call it a “meeting”?
We call it a meeting because we do have time built in after the Christian Bible based message and communion to discuss the message. Our discussion includes how to apply the message in our lives.
Who is the Field Church for?
The Field Church is for anyone who wants to learn about God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. It is for anyone who is looking for a community to belong to. Our clarity statement reminds people that our church is for anyone regardless of gender identify, sexual orientation, skin color, race, nationality, age or disability.
Why does our church meet at a family-owned brewery?
We decided that we wanted to follow a Jesus model. We looked for different venues and we were told “no, not here”. Jesus did not share His message in conventional religious settings. He met in fields, in homes, sides of mountains, gardens, by the sea, and even at parties.
We changed our course of where we should meet and followed his example. We heard about Cueni Brewery and their Bible and Brew that takes place on Thursday nights. We called them and they said, “yes, let’s meet”, and here we are. It is a safe place for anyone to come and be who they are and hear a message from the Christian Bible and belong to a community.
Is liquor served during the meeting?
We do not serve alcohol during the meeting. But soft drinks, cold brew and water are available.
